Joyce Cheung Pui Wah, graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1992, with an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts majoring acting. At school, she gained a lot of performing experiences, including playing as the leading role in the musical ¡§How to Succeed In Business Without ReallyTrying¡¨ and Bernard Shaw¡¦s masterpiece ¡§St. Joan of Arc¡¨. While still in school, Joyce also started her life as a part-time host in the Commercial Radio of Hong Kong, until 1993.

Joyce made her film-acting debut in Larry Ah Mon¡¦s feature movie ¡§Three Summers¡¨ shortly after graduation in 1992, after that, she found interest in entertainment managerial and administration work, and thus joined China Entertainment Production Co. Limited as an administration assistant, where she had well explored her working abilities in the field of production, promotion, administration, distribution as well as event organizing.

From 1993-2000, Joyce worked as the Chief Executive for the Hong Kong Film Awards Association, where she took responsible for all functional aspects in organizing the yearly event ¡V ¡§Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony¡¨. While working full time as an art administrator, Joyce did not put aside her interest in the drama field, she had never stopped her theatrical works. Her has produced over 10 stage productions, including the musical play ¡§Pygmalion¡¨ (starred Chung King Fai, Leung Tin & Ada To)¡A¡¨Red Boat¡¨ (starred Chan Po Chu, Lau Ka Ling & Tony Leung Ka Fai) and ¡§Magic is the Moonlight¡¨(starred Tse Kwan Ho & Cecilia Ip).

In 2001, Joyce started releasing her first prose ¡§Let Me Stop the Wind¡¨ and a novelette ¡§Love In A Pink Beetle¡¨ which was first published in a Beijing magazine before its release in Hong Kong. The story was later adapted as an one act play, staged in the 6th Hong Kong Literature Festival. Joyce is also a movie screenwriter, her work ¡§Sound of Colours¡¨ starred Miriam Yeung and Tony Leung, was released in 2003.

Joyce¡¦s recent works are:

- Executive producer, TV commercial, co-produced by production companies in Hong Kong & Hungary

- Production Manager, a concert by the renowned British composer David Fanshawe and his band of 30 persons and a choir of over 300 persons

- Producer, an original dance-oriented musical performance ¡§LUV70%¡¨, subsidized by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council

In 2005, Joyce continued her studies in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts (with First Class Honors), majoring in directing. She is now, a post-graduate student of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in Comparative & Public History, majoring in the contemporary Chinese history. Also, Joyce is currently the vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Alumni Association, member of Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies and founder of cultural event company Re Culture.
